Seek opportunities to express kindness in word and deed.

  1. Always keep in mind that a grateful heart is a strong heart. Gratitude is a medley of humility, grace, and delight in everyday life. It is appreciation for the gift of being able to work, learn, and create with one another.
  2. Readily show appreciation and return others’ kindness. Remember that while it’s fine to over-thank, it’s never okay to under-thank.
  3. Communicate with people face to face whenever possible. Use their name and common courtesies. Remember that “please” and “thank you” can go a long way.
  4. Take the time to express thanks, and continuously give your all in appreciation for the opportunities offered.
  5. Have a genuine sentiment of appreciation for what others have done for you. Gratitude doesn’t require grand gestures, just simple humility.
  6. Spend energy focusing on what you have, rather than on what you don’t
